Families are an integral part of the individual’s recovery. Wives, parents and significant others are encouraged to participate. Sessions are scheduled as needed and in advance.
Length of stay is usually up to 90 days. Individual progress is reviewed and continued stay beyond 90 days is assessed by the staff, client.
During the first week you will be introduced to the other residents in your treatment group, your counselor, and to the routine of the program. The structure at LRRH consists of one low intensity track that includes group counseling, individual counseling, substance abuse education and AA/NA involvement. In addition, during your first week, all paper work will be completed and your case file started. LRRH also provides 2-desktop computers/printer and a Wi-Fi connection to help with job searches, resume development and to help aid with other “barriers to recovery”.
We also expect you to attend at least two community based 12-step group meetings per week, therapy groups, and attend individual counseling each week as scheduled. The overall goal of the program is to assist you in your recovery and increase your understanding of drug and alcohol dependence as an illness.
There are over 20 active AA/NA and celebrate recovery groups to choose from in the Fergus Falls area. There are also an array of other support services such as Minnesota Concentrated Employment Program, Minnesota Dept. of Vocational Rehabilitation, Minnesota Works employment office, medical-mental health services and a community college.
Medication Assisted Therapy:
LRRH will consider clients who are receiving medication assisted treatment such as Buprenorphine which is an anti-craving medication used primarily for opioid addiction. There are also a host of other medications that are used for both opioid and alcohol addiction. Please contact us with any questions pertaining to this.
